About us
First of all — thank you for choosing to read a little more about us!
Isabyte is a small family business from Norway. The idea behind the company started out as a hobby, with web development experience going all the way back to the early 90s. Over the years we have worked with the vast majority of frameworks and technologies, and grown fairly practised at using components for the web. The "Isabyte" project then began as a wish to build our own components, rather than only ever being a user of off-the-shelf ones.
It would have been impossible for us to deliver this to so many different platforms without doing AI development ourselves. The experience came along the way. The rig around the components had to be designed by hand, and in a particular way, to bring time and cost down while quality went up. Just as much capacity has gone into building our own rig — a stable CI/CD solution, automated processes, cross-checking component behaviour and technology implementations across platforms, and many other things large and small.
The components were missing a name, and the choice landed on "Power Tools", with the framework's name in front. Our concept is not to make a large quantity of components that you can equally find at comparable vendors. The vision is to build something more configurable, to invest in complete applications as web components, and to have those talk to each other. It also matters a great deal to us that you enjoy yourself as a developer, so it should make no difference whether you prefer, say, React over Vue, or whether you are in the Blazor camp. At the same time, you should be able to translate from one technology to another and have it look exactly the same when the project calls for it.
Going forward the focus shifts further towards improving existing components, and developing particular components that you might not find quite so easily at other vendors. A little niche, if you like — while still being more than good enough for traditional tooling needs.
Kind regards,
Isabell — CEO, Isabyte
